River Camping Bled

Massively overpriced. Travelling with a disabled family member in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to various destinations throughout the UK and Europe. Our initial contact at reception was abrupt, although a Dutch member of staff appeared pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, another receptionist seemed poorly informed and asked a number of daft questions upon our departure. We were promised a small discount or subsidy in respect of our disabled family member, but this was not applied when payment was taken. Was not about the money. Although the campsite appears more organised than some others, we experienced a number of frustrating and inconsistent payment arrangements. Card payments accepted at some but not others. For example, a card worked at one laundry location but not at another. I visited the bakery to purchase a coffee and croissant, only to be told that card payments were not accepted before 8:00 a.m. I was informed that, if paying by card, I would need to visit reception after 8:00 a.m., pay there first, and then return to collect my items. By the time I attempted to follow this process, the bakery had closed. The entire arrangement seemed unnecessarily complicated and bizarre. When I mentioned this experience to aforementioned receptionist in what I intended to be a light-hearted manner, he appeared uninterested and dismissive. Overall, I found the campsite expensive, not particularly disability-friendly, and let down by inconsistent payment systems and a generally unhelpful attitude from some reception staff. Having travelled extensively in an RV with a disabled family member, I have encountered far better campsites and will be returning to those in future rather than this one.

Plötze etwas eng beieinander. Ansonsten sehr schön gelegen am Fluss. Platz ist sehr groß. Sanitäranlagen sind gut. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell in der Stadt.
